2020 - this is why we loved you!
I think that when last year around the same time I put together my summarizing post for that year, few of us would have thought that 2020 would be such a special milestone in the lives of all of us. Because anyhow we look at it, in the end it has turned out to be one. Either in a positive or negative sense, this year has not been usual. How am I looking back at it, what thoughts am I taking away with myself? I would like to share these with you now.
1. FAMILY IS GOLDEN
Although never before had I had any doubts, in 2020 it has turned out to be true again: the most valuable thing in life is family. How many situations have you had in your life when only you and your loved ones could help each other or you could help the most? I think in this year extremely many.
2. THERE'S ALWAYS SOMETHING WORTH CARRYING ON FOR
In 2020 due to the changed circumstances I had to face situations, which required a change in direction compared to the previous year. Although in the given moment it might have seemed difficult to take the next step, still looking back at it it was worth since as it turned out in the end, there was always something worth carrying on for.
3. DARE TO CHANGE
I think that during this year many of you put together a list already before the end of the year to let go of the things and situations not serving you any more. I was motivated by spring's quarantine period to reach my biggest decision for a longer while: I changed my workplace.
4. FIND THE GOOD EVEN IN THE BAD
When now in the end of 2020 I asked you about what this year was like, unfortunately many of you have answered: bad, long, negative, just to mention the most common feedbacks. Have you already thought about why you can be thankful for in this changed situation? More time spent with the family, less rush, probably tighter bonds with friends?
5. APPRECIATE YOUR FRIENDS
Maybe in this year you had less chance to meet personally, still it was good to feel that you were there for each other and you could share your happiness-sadness. Possibly in 2020 you were strong and brave enough to let go of those relationships, which did not function any more, to be able to concentrate on the most important, most stable ones. It meant extremely much to me, when a near and dear friend of mine spontaneously called me at 9 pm, sent an sms at midnight, rang me at Christmas to ask about how I was doing or we could preserve the valuable, many years old relationship even from a distance of more thousand kilometres.
+1: YOUR HEALTH IS YOUR WEALTH
And I think I don't have to explain it very long any more, since the success or failure of your year in many cases depended on this the most. If you managed to distance yourself from the coronavirus or preserve your mental health, you could feel like the richest person on Earth. Now in the end of 2020 dou you also agree that it is worth consciously taking care of your health? Are you ready for 2021 to reach the next level?
