Get to know me better!

WHO AM I?

  • Károly Vizdák, lifestyle change & career coach, self-awareness mentor, trainer, professional translator.

THE BEGINNINGS

  • I began my journey more than 40 years ago as something of a child prodigy in a small town called Mezőtúr, in the heart of the Great Hungarian Plain. From an early age, it was clear that I had a wide range of interests, and whatever I set my mind to, I pursued with unwavering dedication until it was complete. The results soon followed: after winning numerous competitions, I went on to attend an English–Hungarian bilingual secondary school and later Corvinus University of Budapest.

WHAT TYPE OF EXPERIENCE DO I HAVE?

  • Despite my continuous success – or perhaps because of my versatility – I spent a long time searching for my true path. Over the past almost 20 years, my professional journey has taken me through a wide range of fields: I have worked for international companies in roles spanning customer service, IT, project management, sales, and marketing.

BUT HOW DID I BECOME A COACH?

  • After a successful lifestyle change and reading dozens of self-help books, my sensitivity towards human stories inspired me to follow my heart and become a professional coach. Today, I work in the fields of lifestyle change and career coaching, and as a self-awareness mentor, I am deeply fascinated by human motivation — particularly how we can achieve extraordinary results in the areas that suit us best.

  • My big vision is to help as many people as possible to live the life they have always wanted, without external and internal obstacles, constraints and compromises.

THE MORE LANGUAGES YOU SPEAK THE MORE LIVES YOU LIVE

  • I speak English and German on a professional level, Spanish fluently and I also studied Russian. With this background it is no surprise that I also work as a translator.

PROFESSIONAL ACHIEVEMENTS I AM PROUD OF:

  • In 2025, at the Mentor Oscar awards ceremony, the mentoring program I led achieved second place in the non-profit organization category, while I finished in first place in the non-profit individual category.
  • In 2022, the book Teams that work (Scott Tannenbaum - Eduardo Salas), which I translated, became the most popular book in the Management category in a public vote announced on the occasion of the 5th anniversary of Pallas Athéné Publishing.
  • Also in 2022, Tina Seelig's book What I Wish I Knew When I Was 20!, which I also translated, took first place on Libri's Lifestyle & Health bestseller list.

I SPEND MY FREE TIME...

  • ... mostly with my family and friends. I visit the gym,  I run (used to run half-marathons), listen to music or read books. I enjoy going to concerts – whether it's Imagine Dragons, Coldplay, or a high-quality Hungarian alternative gig – and I love traveling. I simply don't know how to be bored.

LET'S WORK TOGETHER!

  • If you have found my profile interesting, please do not hesitate to contact me still today and let's start working together! What I can offer: a high level of empathy, quality, professional thoroughness, discretion, precisity, tailored solutions. Come and try out yourself!
